"There is no room for remorse in my heart. my mind has to be blank in order to move on.
but with all the crap that keeps repeating, its as though the past keeps hammering down on me."
- Human D1G1
D1G1 walked forward as the wind swooped over her face. it was a calm and sunny morning but she felt uneasy. the silence on her morning stroll through her quiet neighborhood as usual bothered her so she put her earphones on. she winced as the cold rims entered her rear and giggled giddily as she pressed the play button.
"Are you receiving
Can you hear me?
The inspiration
It's deceiving"
she quickly let the words escape her mouth in large gaps trying hard to keep up, failing every time. soon the song ended. The song that followed would haunt her all her day.
As she walked towards her class D1G1 tripped over a stone. her sketchbook which she held dear fell to the floor along with her I-Pod. she winced as the I-pod detached from the earphones and hit the floor with a loud thud. at once the Song she was listening to paused. silence once more. she scurrility picked up all the pieces of paper held within her sketchbook. "at last," she though, "my I-pod." when she clicked the earphones into the device and pressed play the song returned with a melodic tune and lyrics that mesmerized her heart
"feeling the past moving in,
letting a new day begin,
Hold to the time that you know
you don't have to move on to let go."
As D1G1 began to stand her eyes subconsciously looked up. in that instant her heart stopped. in the doorway looking back at her was him. Bryan. She quickly held herself together and walked away. this song kept repeating.
D1G1's day went as planned. class one, class two, class three. all carefully placed as planned, but the morning's encounter had left her blind. throughout all her classes all she could focus on was the image of him staring down at her as though unwillingly trapped with no where to go. Deep within her heart she felt once mended cracks beginning to open once more.
"Remember turning on the lights
And dancing to the morning light,
Remember how it was with you,
Remember how you pulled me through...
I remember..."
her eyes were lost and diverted. yet she couldn't help remembering all the pain. once more she let the cold robotic side of her take hold, once more she let the music seep through her veins and electrify her soul....
"One More Time"
